Sharperbrain Program Directv

I agree that these 'bundles' are so confusing and not necessarily 'a bargain'. That's why after dealing with Time Warner Cable's garbage and high rates, we dropped them, got an antenna installed on the top of our house.

We are very happy with local channels and public broadcasting. We also have a monthly mail subscription to Netflix DVD or use our local library. Once in awhile REDBOX offers some deals if you sign up with them online. I'm all for simplifiying my life and forget all these companies who just want more $$$$.

I'm not the only one who feels the Bundle Blues and calculated, incomplete information when thrown a sales pitch to bundle! Your internet suddenly slows down to distorte or stops picture if you're using for streaming for more than one show. (I'm on a MacBook Pro.they said it's not them). After already paying to boost speed,.more speed is needed!

Then there's the Direct TV crooks who tell you the 'Great News' you qualify for a FREE Genie box which sounds wonderful if you don't expect to turn it on as it costs $25.00 more each month for the service! Of course I swallowed the complete hook, line and sinker with the home phone paying an additional $14.00/mo to talk unlimited long distance to family in NY. So, before I Bungled with the Bundle my phone bill ran under $50.00 but now.I'm killed with a $201.30 Bill which will go up in 10 months on the phone when 'discount' runs out and will go up again on the TV when that 'discount' runs out in 2 months or I'm forced to pay penalty for early withdrawal (as if the **bleep** bill isn't penalty enough!) I sure wish AARP could use it's voice if we have one in Congress! ASAP as Not all seniors travel or go to theater (just look as the $800.00 tickets to see the Broadway show 'Hamilton'!) By the time you figure out what's happening, their big business contract lawyers tied us up in writing. There is no such thing as regular TV any more you now need a special antena! The first chance I get, I'm shutting everything down. In my area: 1.

REELZ = Yes 3. AUD01 - AUD19 = Yes The line up can change depending on your location, as I'm sure you know. Call Dish at 888-615-3725 and should be able to help you find out what's available in your area.

Overall, I guess I'd rate DISH somewhere around 95-98% satisfaction. Hope this helped. QUOTE: 'When you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth'. Our problem was that the dish itself had came loose from the house and our signal suffered. When the scheduled date came and was close to evening, I contacted them and they told me that my appointment was for a week later. I knew I was correct because I had wrote the date down and confirmed it with the technician in Florida. When I called Directv they were real nasty as with you and said I could take the time they had or leave it.

I didn't, but looking at complaints on the internet found the email of a Vice-President who had been helpful to them in the past. I sent her an email, and the next day she personally called me and asked what time would be convenient for the tech to show up. He showed up at EXACTLY the time I specificed, installed the complete unit more securely than had been before. You might do a search on the internet for DirecTv complaints, etc to find what recourse other have taken. But I agree that their support people can be downright nasty. Everything I've read about DirectTV, and also from people I know, they are also displeased with DTV.

I have Dish Network, and except for a few occasions over the past (about) 7 years, we're overall satisified with their service. We had a situation once, where we had recording issues on the DVR, and they insisted I was wrong, despite I sent them photos of the issue, that proved me out. Well, I pushed back, went to the people that worked for the CEO, and shortly, I got a call saying they were able to reproduce the problem. I told them 'I told you that I was right!' The person I was talking to made a comment about I didn't have to say what I did, the way I did. I asked him was I right, he said yes, and then he started, 'But.' I cut him off, and told him to stop, or I'd contact the CEO's office for him being argumentative with a customer.

He shutup, because he knew I had already taken this to the CEO's complaint team. For your information: Fla.

If his claim that all calls are recorded are true, I sincerely hope somebody at their corporate level listens. I was shocked how extremely rude, insulting, and threatening this agent was to me. Claiming that my age is the reason of my inability to see what is not on their website or understand his pricing (even though he did admit to making some mistakes but I must be blind or too old to understand). I put him on speaker phone so my wife could listen along as he insulted, threatened, chastised, berated, belittled, and just generally scolded me.

I am also concerned that he insisted on obtaining my SS# for credit. He would not let me speak to a supervisor & I now am concerned over retaliation, ID theft, or other personal attacks now that I have provided him with my personal information. We are so fed up with the skyrocketing costs of having land-line phone, cell phones, cable/sat, Internet that we are looking into all alternatives even if it means un-bundling or bundling or whatever. We hope that in our search for service with value that other providers have better trained and more courteous associates fielding questions from the public.

I have been a DirectTV customer for many years, and you shuld call again and request a Supervisor, You probably won't be speaking with this individual again. These people work from home and there are many that answer the calls. Most definitely you need to tell the supervisor as to what has happened to you. And if you are already a Direct TV customer there is no reason for them to deal with your credit or to request SS # over the phone.

We are going thru the same situation, cell phones, landlines, cable and I know how you feel. We have come to the conclusion that we are picking up the least expensive cell phone service which is Consumer Cellular, and we like Direct TV because it offers the channels that we see. But U-verse and Cox and Dish TV have very good bundles these days and they guarantee prices for two years.

The only reason that we are keeping our landline is because we live in Florida and when we have a hurricane, the only phone that will work is the line line. Good luck to you. The most remarkable thing here is that you actually got a rep, rude or otherwise, from a call center in Florida.

Most of the calls go to centers in India and the Phillipines. More than once I have had to hang up when the person's pronunciation of English made it impossible to understand.

(One guy kept repeating did I have 'severe entity?' Exasperated, I spit out 'Spell it! What he was trying to say turned out to be 'Seven Twenty'. Good-bye Now, when I have to call, if I don't get an American, I hang up, wait a hour, and try again. Still, there is no guarantee of quality with the Americans.

One time my remote just suddenly stopped working. Put in new batteries, nothing.

Checked for damage, moisture, loose connections. Fake Missouri Drivers License. When I called DirecTV call center the rep listened, then informed me, yep, the remote was 'broken'.

They would be happy to send out another in 10-14 days. Seemed fishy to me, esp.

Since it was so sudden, not gradual. So I called back, got another rep.

This one listened and said sounds like you have lost the programming. It will take about 20 minutes to re-program but I can walk you through it, step by step. The guy was right. 20 minutes later it was working perfectly. And he was so nice, so gracious about it. Unlike your guy. Companies now only ask for the last 4 digits of soc.

# when verifying identity of an existing customer or account holder. If he asked for more, that is suspicious. #2, when a customer asks to speak to a supervisor, they are supposed to honor that request and connect the call appropriately. I would call back and ask to speak to someone in retention department. (Those calls always go to the United States) I wouldn't waste time with an email. Every email I have ever sent complaining about a billing error is invariably answered by someone overseas.

Who has the punctuation and phrasing of a Nigerian prince who needs help in moving large sums of money to me. I have often thought of dumping DirecTV for Dish. But Dish does not offer certain channels I have grown attached to. I have just spent 45 minutes with the rudest sales associate ever from Direct TV. Starting Them Young Besides Peyton and Eli, Archie Manning and his wife Olivia had another boy: Cooper, their oldest. Cooper, Peyton, and Eli would regularly play football out in the yard and were a frequent fixture in the New Orleans Saints’ locker room, as well.

Although Archie says that he never specifically raised his kids to play football, their proximity to the game and admiration for their father made it a pretty certain outcome. All three would decide individually that they would pursue the sport. Harassment Scandal Unfortunately for Peyton and at least one other person, his time at the University of Tennessee was not only marked by athletic accomplishments, but also off-field problems. During his junior year, Peyton allegedly exposed himself to a female trainer as a joke. Peyton’s trainer issued a formal complaint and Peyton was punished as a result, although he didn’t lose any playing time or see any kind of serious disciplinary actions due to the disgusting act.

The issue wouldn’t end anytime soon. The Allegations The trainer was a 20-year-old student named Jamie Ann Naughright. When it came time for her to give her side of the story, she said Peyton asked her inappropriate questions and hit on her before exposing himself. Ultimately, she felt she had to leave the school over the issue and resulting hysteria, and though she received a settlement, she also said that her career was irreparably harmed by the incident.

Worse yet, Manning’s book did not paint her in a very positive light, so she sued him for defamation of character. Getting Fired Naughbright’s version of the story is much different from what many have stated. She said the harassment continued after the initial incident and she was forced to resign by the school’s administrators. Furthermore, she said that she was suspiciously demoted from a new position as director of the athletic training program at Florida Southern College after Peyton’s book was released and excerpts were sent to her supervisor. Naughbright’s side of the story makes it clear that she believes that the incident has harmed her for years. Download Windows Vista Free. Casting False Blame Many aspects of Naughright’s story are pretty disturbing.

For example, she told the New York Daily News that one of her supervisors at the university came to her and told her that she should change her statement and blame the incident on a black student instead of Peyton. According to Naughright, the individuals in question even selected a scapegoat that she was instructed to blame the incident on. Naughright said that she was under a lot of pressure to go along with the story. The Exciting Youngster When the Indianapolis Colts selected Peyton Manning as the first pick of the 1998 NFL Draft, few people thought that he’d see a lot of playing time in his first season. He proved everyone wrong though, breaking the record for passing yards in a rookie season with 3,739 yards and earning a selection to the NFL All-Rookie First Team. Not only were fans excited about the future of the Colts with Manning on board, but coaches throughout the league were impressed by Peyton, as well. Breaking Favre’s Records While Manning had some postseason success, many believe that he was even better in the regular season.

He broke many regular season records, including those for touchdown passes, career passing yards, and even MVP awards, as he won five of them. Although he played with other great quarterbacks, he surpassed those that he played with in all major categorieseven the legendary Brett Favre himself. And let’s not forget that after Favre, Manning was only the second NFL player to defeat every single team in the league. Endorsements Even those who weren’t huge football fans are likely acquainted with who Peyton Manning is. Because he was constantly on TV and in commercials during his playing days (and actually, he continues to be on commercials even after his retirement). He actually made more from endorsements than he did from playing at one point, doing commercials for everyone from Papa John’s Pizza to DirecTV and Nike.

Buick and Gatorade also came calling, showing that Manning had the stature to only work with the top sponsors out there. Best In The NFL One of the best awards that a professional athlete can get is an “ESPY” award. That’s because the awards they set often represent the cream of the crop. The committees deciding the awards include respected sportswriters and experienced athletes.

Peyton Manning has been fortunate enough to win three awards for the best player in the NFL. Two of the awards were earned during the first part of his career in Indianapolis, while one was added to his resume during his time with the Broncos. The Substance Scandal During the year that Peyton Manning sat out of football games, it became steadily more important that he take care of his body moving forward.

Unfortunately, the United States Anti Doping Agency would ultimately report that human growth hormone had been shipped to his home. While Manning was never suspended or officially linked to the use of performance enhancing substances, the suspicion from USADA was just another problem that Peyton had to deal with as he attempted to make his comeback.

Al Jazeera Report During about the same time, Qatar’s Al Jazeera ran a report based upon Dr. Charles Sly’s supposed admission that he had supplied human growth hormone to several football players. The information was collected from an undercover reporter, who was also supposed to get evidence of Peyton’s participation or cooperation in the ring. She wasn’t able to get that evidence, however. Still the damage to Peyton’s reputation had already been done. Peyton’s next move would become a very important one, indeed.

The Scandal Goes Deeper More information continued to come out about the alleged human growth hormone incidents. Before Al Jazeera began investigating Dr.

Sly, his fiancee, Karen Lopez-Bartlett, had taken her own life. One issue of possible contention between Sly and Lopez-Bartlett is that while Sly preferred complex medicines, Lopez-Bartlett preferred all natural foods and medications. Investigators even wanted to determine if any illegal substances were in her system at death, but they weren’t given permission to look into it. Moving To The Broncos Many people thought that they’d never see Peyton Manning wear another team’s uniform, but with injury concerns and the great performance of young Andrew Luck, it became clear that Manning should separate from the Colts in 2012.

He was granted his release from the team and allowed to go and sign with the Denver Broncos as a free agent. Of course, he still had to prove that he could fully come back from a very serious neck injury and surgery and be the player that he used to be. Number Retired Indianapolis still appreciated Peyton Manning after he went to the Denver Broncos, and their admiration of Manning continues to this day. The team’s management decided to retire Peyton’s traditional number of 18, which is a testament to how much they still loved him. Meanwhile, a statue of Peyton Manning has been built and unveiled at Lucas Oil Stadium, where the Colts play when they’re in Indianapolis. Manning may have moved on, but he was always treated like a beloved son in Indianapolis. An Apparent Affinity For Nebraska During Peyton Manning’s playing days, viewers at home watched in amazement at the way he commanded the field before the snap.

In 2014, many internet commenters noted that Manning seemed to be shouting “Omaha” frequently before the snap. The internet went wild over its repetition and clarity on the game broadcast. Manning did not reveal its meaning until he retired.

He explained that “Omaha” was an indication to his teammates that he had changed the play before the snap. Football Moves To Come? Recent rumors suggest that Peyton is trying to get back into the NFL, this time as management. Various reports claim that Manning has been around the Cleveland area looking for homes perhaps with the hope of settling into a job with the Cleveland Browns. Browns owner Jimmy Haslam helped recruit Manning to Tennessee as a booster. Peyton’s team has denied these rumors, but many believe it’s a possibility. His potential role is unclear, but it would be great to have Peyton back in the NFL.
