Hi, That seems odd, could you open a cmd prompt/the start menu and type 'winver' and hit enter, and report back with the version number it states?

We should only be telling you to update Win7 if your computer is reporting that it is Ver 6.1.x, perhaps you were inadvertently running the installer in compatibility mode?
